In 2013 First Freedom Distribution was formed to oversee the creation and running of the ‘First Freedom Collection’ of video footage on Getty Images.
The first ‘indepedent’ production company to have such an agreement, First Freedom sources films and supplies footage from ‘the roads less travelled’ to broadcasters, advertising agencies and communications companies worldwide.
1996
MERGER
In 1996 the business formally merged with sister company Bamboo Film and Television Productions Ltd. which had been started in 1987 by TV Producer Rosemary Forgan and Author/Magazine Editor Jackie Bennett.
1988
FORMATION
First Freedom Productions Ltd. was formed in 1988 by a group of TV directors, reporters and producers including Graham Addicott, Ken Craig and Paul O’Dell to produce documentaries and factual programmes and series.

First Freedom retains international broadcast rights to the following programmes:
